It is the flip side of doubt.
Faith comes in many forms.
Faith can be used for good.
Faith can be used for evil.
Faith scares me.
Faith inspires me.
I am by no means a religious man. I believe in a higher power, but the blind faith S/He inspires sometimes frightens me.
***
But that is not the Faith I speak of here.
No. The faith I speak of is the Faith in ME.
The Faith in my Training.
The Faith in my Desire.
The Faith in my Focus.
The Faith in my Body.
In 4 days, I will be putting my Faith into these 4 things to carry me through to the end.
It is not a blind faith.
I know what I have done over the past 3 1/2 months and I am sure of what I am capable.
4 days ’til Boston.
See you at the finish line.
I have faith in that guy too.
You got this, babe.
I really liked that post. It was to the point but it also hit a nerve. In fact, it gave me chills/nerves/excitement for my upcoming marathon. Good luck on Monday!
Thanks Madison! Good luck in yours as well!
Great post. I wish I could bottle it and give it to someone dear to me. It’s so difficult to convince someone they’re good enough. That they’re capable and prepared.
Good luck on Patriots Day. I hope to one day be your contemporary.
Thanks Drew! I hope your friend comes to appreciate the miles he or she has put in and is in fact ready!
Great post. I think sometimes we forget to believe in ourselves. Next time I’m on a long run, I’ll remember this.
Oh I really, really like this one. I’m taking hold of those words of Faith and making sure to remind myself as Monday looms ever closer. THANKS!
This is very spiritual inspiring, I like this post a lot.
Thank you!
