I’ve found that whether I’m running a 5K or a 50-miler, there is something to be said about running with a partner or group. As a mid-packer, I don’t find myself alone at the head of the field very often. However, I do often find myself alone in a sea of runners. I will do what I can to make a connection with somebody who seems to be running my pace, but it’s not always easy to do. So with that said, I am launching the Race Pace Buddy page on Run Luau Run.
If you have an upcoming race and would like to find someone to run with, leave your handle, race, date, anticipated pace and preferred method of contact in the comments and I will add it to this page, like this:
Sugarloaf Marathon – May 20th, 2012
Luau – 3:15 – runluaurun at gmail dot com
I will add races (5K to Ultra-Marathon) and their links as we go and even sort runner by pace.
So who needs a Race Pace Buddy?
Great idea!
What an AWESOME idea! You rock! Of course I will add mine as my 2012 schedule starts to form (i.e. AFTER the WS100 Lottery, I will know more what I might be doing)…
Excellent idea! Having a pace buddy in @NYCe got me through the Knickerbocker 60k. Now to nail down my pace for spring races…
